What are DID and OSDD?
DID and OSDD are both disorders where the "host" or "core" develop separate persons/identities, better known as alters. These alters can be based from media, or they can be completely new people. These alters can "switch" - basically changing who is in control of the body.
How does DID/OSDD develop?
DID and OSDD begin to develop in early childhood after the host/core experiences trauma such as abuse. The brain is unable to cope with the trauma, causing the host/core to split off other alters in order to cope and separate themselves from the trauma.
